Proportional Circle Maps

Proportional circle maps may be considered similar to dot distribution buts but instead of using small dots and their density to represent values a proportional circle maps uses larger and smaller circles to represent relative values.  This map shows the number of Wal-Mart locations in the US states.http://personal.frostburg.edu/sbriggs0/maps.htm
